June 6-8, 2014 — MNSAH’s Spring Tour looked beyond state boundaries when we traveled to Des Moines, Iowa. Our tour of Des Moines included spectacular late-nineteenth and early-twentieth century structures, vibrant historic neighborhoods, and an array of modern buildings designed by some of the best known architects of the 20th century.
